A long-standing Ludlow YFC member, William Watkins has visited Amsterdam this spring to discuss the future of farming with agricultural experts.
William, along with 29 other Young Farmers from across England and Wales visited a swine and ruminant feed research facility, a robotic dairy farm and a tomato plantation in Holland.
The tour was part of the National Federation of Young Farmers' Clubs member development scheme, supported by Defra. The aim of the trip was to enhance the members knowledge of international agricultural techniques and methods, which may develop within the UK in the near future.
