On Tuesday 13th, Neil, Phil and Laura hosted their leaving drinks evening with Pub games, food and entertainment at Haytons Bent village hall. The evening was very well attended and great fun for everyone!
2009/2010 was a tough year to improve on, but the team lead
by Neil Brown, Philip Watson Jones and Laura Edwards have pulled everything out
of the bag and made the year brilliant! From sporting heroes to Sarah Grantham
winning a scholarship to New Zealand Ludlow YFC has continued to grow strong
and is now one of the counties leading clubs – but it is the members that make
that happen and yet again more and more have joined up. The lists of activates
Ludlow
did each week is endless - there really has been something to suit everyone. At
the very start, two of our junior members were awarded exceptional achievement in
under 16 badminton and shortly after, members came second in swimming
competitions. Neil and Phil soon realised there members weren’t that bad at
sport, so arranged evenings of doge ball, basketball, skittles, ice skating,
rock climbing, golf, go carting, horse riding and horse racing to try and see
what else we could win at! - The sporting theme continued as the club hosted an
excellent Cheltenham Gold Cup dance in March – we like a good old social! That’s
just a little snippet of our last year, we have had loads of amazing nights and
have got stuck in to nearly all of the counties rallies and shows – Keep an eye
on us were always updating our Facebook page and Website www.lyfc.yolasite.com.
Let’s see if we can get another great Ludlow YFC year!
