AGM Headline Acts Announced
The excitement is building for NFYFC’s Annual Convention 2013, and with just 61 days to go until the big event, its time YFC members found out which bands and DJs will be entertaining them over three days in Blackpool.
Once again, the NFYFC Events Steering group has organised a brilliant line-up jam-packed with the best DJs and live bands sure to get you hitting the dancefloor.
The line-up includes not one but two Radio 1 DJs as well as a guest DJ we think you might just recognise from one of your favourite TV shows. Add to this a whole range of live bands, from rockers to jazz-pros, and there is definitely something for everyone.....
Friday 3rd May – Black Tie
Live Band: Scarlett
Scarlett are a fantastic eight piece band, who performed under a different name at NFYFC’s 80th Gala Dinner and kept partygoers dancing late into the night with their covers of everyone’s favourite tunes.
DJ: Aled Haydn Jones, Radio 1’s Surgery
Star of BBC Radio 1’ Sunday Surgery, Aled Haydn Jones was a massive hit at last year’s Annual Convention and is sure to whip out a mix of cheesy classics and the latest chart toppers.
Saturday 4th May – Where’s Wally fancy dress
Live Band: Retrofits
With a repertoire spanning five decades, from 60’s rock and roll to noughties hits, the Retrofits have something to please even the most mature YFC member!
DJ: Jameela Jamil, Radio 1’s The Official Chat
Adding yet another Radio 1 DJ to the list, Jameela Jamil is the current host of The Official Chart on BBC Radio 1 and has presented a number of TV shows, such as T4 and Playing It Straight.
Sunday 5th May – Boilersuit Ball (Club Shirts also allowed)
Live Band: Bogus Brothers
This five-piece band is sure to entertain with their unique and seriously energetic shows, and last year they even performed for Sir Alex Ferguson!

You may know James best as wanna-be ladies man Jay in hit TV show the Inbetweeners! Now is your chance to check out his skills on the decks too.
